HVAC Rebates and Incentives

The federal tax credit has ended

The federal 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit, which offered up to $2,000 toward a qualifying heat pump and smaller amounts for other high efficiency equipment, was ended by federal legislation signed in July 2025. It no longer applies to equipment placed in service after December 31, 2025.

We would rather tell you that plainly than let you find out when you file.

If your system was installed in 2025

If your qualifying equipment was installed and placed in service on or before December 31, 2025, you may still be able to claim the credit on your 2025 return using IRS Form 5695. Talk to your tax preparer. We are HVAC contractors, not tax advisors, and we will not tell you what you qualify for.

What is still available

Federal is not the only source of savings, and these do still exist:

  • Utility rebates. Evergy and Spire run efficiency rebate programs that change from year to year. We will tell you what is currently offered on the equipment you are considering.
  • Manufacturer promotions. American Standard and other manufacturers run seasonal rebates on qualifying systems.
  • State and local programs. Availability varies.
  • Our own financing, through Wells Fargo, for jobs up to $25,000. Applying does not affect your credit score.

Ask us before you buy

Rebate programs change constantly and we track what is current. When we quote you a system, ask what is available on it. We will tell you honestly, including when the answer is nothing.
